About the role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Chef to join the team at Uniting AgeWell Mornington. The focus of this role is to provide high quality, nutritious meals and exceptional service to our residents to enhance their daily lives. This includes:

  • Planning, ordering and preparing meals in a way that will enhance the resident’s dining experience, in line with all specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods
  • Ensure a high level of compliance with all food safety guidelines and HACCP procedures

This is a casual role working Monday - Friday 9am - 530pm.

About you:

This is the place for you if you have:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Have experience in a Residential Aged Care kitchen environment (ordering, budgeting and rostering
  • Have worked with specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods
  • Fully conversant with HACCP and food safety legislation
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
  • Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Vulnerable People card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
