About the role:
The Facilities Services Supervisor will coordinate and assist in the delivery of our maintenance activities within our retirement living communities across Victoria. Reporting into the Facilities Services Manager, you will assist in developing scopes of work, identifying task specifications as well planning projects to ensure successful service delivery outcomes. You will provide direction and guidance for subcontractors; ensuring works that are carried out meet all compliance regulations.
This role will see you engage with residents, maintaining a visible presence across our retirement living communities. You will provide maintenance and repair support, assisting our residents with general requests around their homes to live their BEST lives.
In this role, you will:
Direct and oversee maintenance service providers and subcontractors to ensure efficient and effective delivery of maintenance services across facilities
Develop comprehensive scopes of work and detailed task specifications to guide maintenance activities according to organisational standards
Work closely with the Facilities Services team to coordinate maintenance activities and support open communication on task progress and requirements
Plan and manage maintenance projects to optimise operational efficiency and meet service delivery targets
Inspect completed maintenance work to ensure it meets quality and completeness standards in alignment with organisational requirements
Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, addressing any issues promptly to maintain a safe working environment
Perform general maintenance and repair tasks as needed to meet organisational standards and compliance requirements
Maintain a consistent focus on quality, safety, and efficiency in all maintenance and repair work
Maintain organised documentation of health and safety compliance to support audit readiness and alignment with Uniting AgeWell’s OHS standards
This is the place for you, if you have:
• Tertiary qualifications in a discipline such as building facility operation and maintenance
• Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards and their practical application with a strong focus on health, safety, and environment standard
• Demonstrated experience in delivering maintenance services, including the coordination of concurrent activities and oversight of service providers
• Experience in delivery asset management services within retirement living sectors or customer-centric operations-based role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work within and create a harmonious team approach to the delivery of services into a resident home and the common areas within a community
• Competence in developing scopes of work, planning projects, and coordinating maintenance schedules to achieve efficient and compliant service delivery
Essentials for working in Aged Care:
• A current Working With Children’s Check (VIC) or willingness to obtain one
• Full Australian working rights
• A current Police Records Check/NDIS Clearance or be willing to undertake this process
• Current flu and ongoing vaccinations as required
