About the role:
Uniting Agewell Limited (UAL) Health Safety and Wellbeing Team proactively facilitates safer UAL workplaces and constantly provides proactive professional advice and expertise. This is promoted through a business partnering model and shared safety responsibility.
Provide effective Workplace Health and Safety advice, support, training and professional expertise to management , and staff through development of a business partnering model
Ongoing auditing, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of overall WH&S performance
Build and support effective local Health and Safety Committees and support development of Health and Safety Representatives within local sites to continuously improve the UAL safety culture
Promote Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Fitness for Work initiatives across the UAL business
Support the greater People Services Team in the delivery of services giving due consideration to the Health, Safety, Fitness and wellbeing of UAL staff, volunteers, visitors and clients
Contribute to the development, review maintenance and operation of a wide range of administrative and organizational processes to support the Health Safety and Wellbeing function.
This is a Permanent Part Time Time role working 3 or 4 days across Monday to Friday - We are flexible in terms of your availability. Travel throughout Tasmania will be a requirement so you must have access to your own vehicle.

Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety, minimum Cert IV WHS
Strong working knowledge of relevant safety legislation, regulations, codes and standards
Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
Knowledge and understanding of risk management strategies in workplace safety
Understanding of fitness for work requirements, including a basic knowledge of the interdependencies with FairWork Legislations
Experience in the aged care or health industry (highly regarded)
Knowledge and experience of safety and aged care compliance requirements (highly regarded)
Project management experience
