About the role: 

We are currently seeking passionate and caring individuals to join our team as Personal Care Workers on a permanents part-time basis with shifts available in the AM and PM patterns. 

As a Personal Care Worker, you will be the gentle hand guiding our beloved residents through daily living tasks. Your caring touch will bring comfort and joy, ensuring each residents feels seen, heard and cherished.

We currently have the following part-time shift patterns available: 

AM Shifts - Week 1 & 2 

• 07:00-15:15 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
• 07:00-14:00 (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday)

PM Shifts - Week 1 & 2 

• 15:00-21:00 (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday)
• 15:00-22:15 (Monday, Tuesday)

Key Responsibilities:

As a Personal Care Worker in our facility, you will:

• Deliver high-quality personal care, including showering, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance.
• Support residents with daily living tasks such as meal assistance and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
• Monitor residents’ physical, emotional, and behavioural well-being, promptly reporting any concerns.
• Co-ordinate personal care for our residents in accordance with care plans which meet their individual needs and preferences.
• Encourage social engagement and assist with recreational and group activities.
• Provide care to residents with complex needs, including palliative care, dementia support, and pain management, to enhance their well-being.
• Support nursing staff with assessments, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the environment, promptly addressing any issues.

What We Are Looking For:

A caring and empathetic nature is essential, along with a commitment to supporting our cherished residents to live with dignity and comfort. You'll build strong relationships with residents and their families while contributing to a high-quality, person-centred care environment.

Successful Candidates Will Have: 

• The ability to work a part-time roster
• Experience in Residential Aged Care / Home Care (desired) 
• Experience with Dementia Care and Palliative Care support (desired)
• The ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while building meaningful one-on-one connections with residents 
• Demonstrated abilities to support residents in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills 
• Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Mandatory Requirements:

• Qualification: Cert III Individual Support, Cert IV Ageing Support, or equivalent (Aged Care) 
• First Aid & CPR: Current certifications or willingness to obtain 
• Working with Children Check: Victorian - Employee 
• National Criminal Police Record Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check 
• Up-to-date vaccinations in accordance with Uniting Agewell's Vaccination Policy 
• Full Australian Working Rights
