About the role:

Our financial team at Uniting AgeWell is growing and we seek an Accounts Receivable Officer to join the team on a permanent Full Time basis. As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for a range of various Accounts Receivable related duties including:

  • Perform AR related duties in accordance with the cyclical calendar for processing
  • Setup of complete and accurate debtor records
  • Provision of accurate accounts receivable data when requested
  • Ensure resident and clients fees and charges information is accurately updated in a timely manner
  • Ensure resident and clients fees and charges are reconciled and variances are investigated and resolved
  • Undertake accurate and timely resident and client billing and refunds
  • Ensure fees and charges are in accordance with contractual, policy and legislative guidelines
  • Regularly monitor the completeness and accuracy of all  records and master files, as they relate to AR
  • Respond to enquiries from residents and clients, and facility/managers and staff in a timely manner
  • Monitor relevant changes to Aged Care legislation and relevant Retirement Villages legislation and implement any necessary changes to procedures

  • Experience in the health or aged care sector preferred
  • Experience in accounts receivable, debt collection and general finance administration
  • Experience and expertise in timely and accurate accounting service delivery
  • Experience in accounting packages
  • Expertise in a range of accounting tasks particularly accounts receivable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a diverse range of people, including older people or those who have disabilities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to communicate with all levels of users
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Children Check card 
  • Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
