About the role:

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Scheduler to join our North Metro Home Care team in Northcote. This full-time role is ideal for someone with previous scheduling experience in a home care setting, who is passionate about supporting older Australians to live independently.

The primary purpose of this position is to manage and to support the effective delivery of Uniting Agewell Commonwealth Home Support Programs and Home Care Programs. This includes managing client and Home Care Worker rosters for optimal service delivery, maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, responding to client's enquiries, and supporting the client's journey to enhance their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the effective delivery of Commonwealth Home Support Programs and Home Care Packages
  • Coordinate and maintain client and Home Care Worker rosters to ensure optimal service delivery
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and/or their carers to ensure their care needs are being provided in a timely and quality manner
  • Proactively identify and address rostering challenges, scheduling conflicts, and find solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Match client needs and preferences with our employees skills, and availability
  • Action and document phone calls and/or communication relating to scheduling, including but not limited to sick call, rostering issues, change request, client enquiries
  • Communicate roster changes to clients and care staff effectively
  • Apply a continuous improvement approach to Uniting AgeWell’s service delivery

  • Experience with accounts software and CRM systems 
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, and problem solving abilities 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team
  • A client-focused approach with a commitment to quality care
  • Excellent time management and highly organised
  • Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within the aged care sector
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

  • A current Working With Children Check card 
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
