About the role:

Experienced and motivated Cleaners are encouraged to join our team at Uniting AgeWell Berriedale.

This is a Part Time role working 69 hours per fortnight across both our cleaning and laundry departments

Week 1

Wednesday cleaning 8am - 2pm, laundry 2pm - 4pm

Thursday cleaning 8am - 2pm, laundry 2pm - 4pm

Friday cleaning 8am - 2pm, laundry 2pm - 4pm

Saturday cleaning 9am - 1pm

Sunday cleaning 9am - 1pm

Week 2

Wednesday cleaning 8am - 2pm, laundry 2pm - 4pm

Thursday cleaning 8am - 2pm, laundry 2pm - 4pm

• Ensure that all areas of the residence are kept hygienic and presentable
• Contribute to a comfortable, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
• Cleaning in line with all chemical and infection control requirements and accreditation standards
• Ensuring resident privacy and dignity is always maintained
• Identify and report maintenance issues for our residents, ensuring they are escalated in a timely manner

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, you also:

• Demonstrate a high level of kindness and respect for residents’ property and privacy
• Have previous experience cleaning in a large organisation or commercial environment (preferred but not essential)
• Have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices (preferred but not essential)
• An understanding of infection control procedures
• Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision as required and as part of a team
• Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
• Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

• A current Working With Vulnerable People card
• Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
• Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
