About the role:

At Uniting AgeWell, the quality of life and experience of our clients is at the heart of everything we do. We have exciting local Part-Time employment opportunities working 3 weekdays available in Cardinia Shire, supporting clients in Pakenham, Officer, Koo Wee Rup, Gembrook, Emerald and surrounding communities 

Home Care Worker’s play a vital role in delivering personal care and domestic assistance, alongside respite services, social support and transport support. The primary focus will be on providing domestic care assistance to our clients. This role does require a qualification.

Home Care Domestic Support workers are responsible for providing domestic assistance, as well as social support and transportation as needed for clients. The primary focus will be on providing domestic care assistance to our clients. This role does not require a qualification.

Key responsibilities:  

  • Primarily providing domestic assistance
  • Traveling between clients homes
  • Providing social support and transportation services as required
  • Assisting clients with activities that contribute to a clean, tidy and safe living environment
  • Observing clients physical, emotional, and behavioural status, and reporting any observations or concerns
  • Ensuring clients clothing and personal belongings are kept safe and well-maintained 
  • Providing exceptional customer service by maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients and their relatives 
  • Ensuring that clients rights, cultural, spiritual, and other individual needs are respected in all aspects of care and daily living

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our clients to support them to live life to their potential whilst remaining in their home.

This is the place for you if you have:

  • Previous experience in a home care setting or in providing domestic support (desirable)  
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence  
  • A registered, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive car insurance  
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or a willingness to obtain them  
  • Knowledge of community care and a commitment to maintaining high standards for clients and their families  
  • An understanding of client-centered care  
  • The ability to thrive in a team environment while also valuing one-on-one interactions
  • Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

To be considered for this opportunity you must have or be willing to get:

  • Working With Children Check (Employee)
  • A satisfactory National Criminal Police Record Check OR NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Annual vaccination(s) as per the Uniting AgeWell vaccination policy
  • Australian work rights
