Join Our Team in Echuca!
Uniting AgeWell’s Loddon Mallee Home Care program supports older people to live safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible. We offer comprehensive ageing support services and local employment opportunities across the Campaspe Shire, including Echuca, Kyabram, Mathoura and surrounding communities.
We are currently looking to grow our team with compassionate and dedicated individuals to join us in the role of Home Care Worker.
About the Role
Part-time positions available
Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week
Preferably available during the day on at least three weekdays per week
Travel is required between clients’ homes to deliver personalised care and support

Responsibilities may include:
Providing personal care such as showering, grooming, and mobility assistance
Supporting clients with domestic tasks including meal preparation and household chores
Monitoring clients’ physical, emotional, and behavioural wellbeing, and reporting any concerns
Offering social support and transport to appointments or community activities
Respecting clients' rights, choices, and cultural or spiritual needs

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting older people to live independently at home. A caring, empathetic nature is essential, along with a genuine commitment to building respectful relationships with clients and their families.
Successful candidates will have:
Reliable transport and the ability to travel between clients’ homes
Excellent organisational skills and a focus on creating safe, clean, and supportive environments
A strong understanding of person-centred and community-based care
A commitment to delivering high-quality support that meets the needs of clients and their families
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team
A shared commitment to our organisational values and the BEST philosophy – Believe, Excel, Support, Trust

Mandatory Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have or be willing to obtain the following:
Qualifications: A nationally recognised Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent), or a higher qualification such as a Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing (including students currently enrolled)
Driver’s Licence and Vehicle: A valid Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable, roadworthy vehicle with insurance
First Aid and CPR: Current certifications or a willingness to obtain
Checks and Clearances:
Working with Children Check (Employee)
National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
Vaccinations: Up-to-date vaccinations in accordance with Uniting AgeWell’s organisational policy
Work Rights: Full Australian working rights
