About the role:

As a qualified Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in establishing our innovative service in the West Melbourne metro region. You'll be responsible for providing focused home-based services for older clientele (65+) with a variety of health conditions, accessing services through their Home Care Package (HCP).

Our service is built on a foundation of innovation, focusing on clients’ strengths, goal-directed interventions, and maximizing independence and autonomy. We aim to redefine how Allied Health is delivered in Community Aged Care. You will be part of a supportive team with regular team meetings, one-to-one clinical supervision, and support from the Clinical Lead of Occupational Therapy.

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinker, customer-focused, reliable, adaptable, motivated, and committed to the provision of customer-centered care. You’ll have the capacity to work autonomously and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

About you:

You are passionate about creating positive change and excited to be part of a pioneering service. You are motivated to achieve exceptional outcomes and dedicated to empowering clients to live their best lives and interested in a full-time opportunity.

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical practice with a variety of health conditions in 65+ year old clientele.
  • Experience working in the Community Aged Care sector, specifically with clients receiving services through their Home Care Package.
  • Proven experience in conducting comprehensive home safety assessments and providing detailed home modification and equipment prescription recommendations.
  • Full Australian working rights and the ability to pass a national police clearance.
  • Ability to thrive in a team and also appreciate the one-to-one interactions.

  • A current Working With Children Check card / Vulnerable People card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
