About the role:
- Provide high‑level HR and industrial relations expertise, offering clear, timely and practical advice to managers and employees
- Lead and manage disputes, grievances, disciplinary and performance matters, ensuring all processes are conducted in line with legislative requirements, UA policy, and our values
- Actively engage in consultation and negotiation, including collaboration with unions, to support organisational change, dispute resolution and compliant change management processes
- Support enterprise agreement activities as required, contributing to research, drafting, wage schedule reviews, bargaining meetings and preparation of materials for the Fair Work Commission
- Partner closely with operational leaders to build capability, promote person‑centred practice, proactively identify workforce risks, and drive culturally aligned outcomes that contribute to high‑quality customer and employee experiences
In this role, you will support a broad and multi-disciplined portfolio including a mix of Residential and Home-Based Aged Care services across Geelong and West Melbourne (Manor Lakes).
You will also have access to our hybrid working model which includes three days working on-site (including one day at our Head Office in Melbourne's CBD) and two days working from home - days and times subject to change as required.
This is the place for you if you have:

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or equivalent experience

Extensive experience managing disputes, grievances and disciplinary processes

Strong capability in interpreting awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation
-
Demonstrated experience in the Aged Care sector or similar regulated environment
-
Experience planning and implementing organisational change
-
Skilled in consulting and negotiating with unions and employee representatives
-
High‑level problem‑solving capability with sound judgment
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-
Strong documentation skills, with accuracy in drafting letters, records and reports
-
Experience contributing to HR projects, reporting and analysis including key HR metrics
Essentials for working in Aged Care:
- A current Working With Children’s Check (VIC) or willingness to obtain one
- Full Australian working rights
- A current Police Records Check/NDIS Clearance or be willing to undertake this process
- Current flu and ongoing vaccinations
