About the role:
 
The Solution Architect plays a critical role in designing and implementing integrated digital solutions that align with strategic business objectives. This role provides technical leadership across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments, ensuring systems are scalable, cost-effective, and interoperable.
 
The architect will drive enterprise-wide standards, optimise service integration, and support business agility through orchestration, monitoring, and proactive management of stakeholders and vendors.
 
Collaborating closely with business and digital teams, the Solution Architect evaluates emerging technologies, develops infrastructure plans, and ensures high availability and performance of digital platforms to enable seamless service delivery and innovation.
 
This is a permanent, full time hybrid role giving you the flexibility of working from our head office and from home.
 
About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, enhancing their self-esteem and empowering them to make choices.

This is the place for you if you:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect), enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF), or integration platforms
  • Additional certifications in ITIL, DevOps, or security frameworks are advantageous
  • 7+ years of experience in systems architecture, solution design, and enterprise integration across cloud and on-premise environments
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (like Azure, AWS, GCP), including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
  • Extensive experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and API-led integration
  • Solid knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and infrastructure components
  • Hands-on experience with application development tools, programming languages and integration frameworks
