About the role:
- Prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals in line with established menus and resident needs
- Plan, order and manage food supplies to support efficient kitchen operations
- Cater to specialised dietary requirements, including texture-modified meals and supplements
- Maintain exceptional standards of food presentation, consistency and service delivery
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards and HACCP requirements
- Monitor stock levels, minimise waste and support effective inventory management
- Collaborate with hospitality and care teams to enhance the overall resident dining experience
About you:
This is the place for you if you have:
- Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Have experience in a Residential Aged Care kitchen environment (ordering, budgeting and rostering)
- Have worked with specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods
- Fully conversant with HACCP and food safety legislation
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
- Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
Essentials for working in Aged Care:
- A current Working With Children Check card
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
