About the role:
- Planning, ordering and preparing meals that enhance the resident dining experience, in line with all specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods.
- Ensure the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance are maintained, with strict adherence to HACCP requirements and regulatory standards.
- Manage food ordering, stock control and inventory levels to support efficient kitchen operations and minimise waste.
- Assist with menu planning and reviews, ensuring meals are nutritious, appetising and aligned with residents' preferences.
- Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control to deliver an exceptional dining experience for residents.
- Maintain accurate food safety records, including temperature monitoring, cleaning schedules and compliance documentation.
- Work collaboratively with care teams to meet residents' nutritional needs and provide person-centred dining experiences.
About you:
This is the place for you if you have:
- Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Have experience in a Residential Aged Care kitchen environment (ordering, budgeting and rostering)
- Have worked with specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods
- Fully conversant with HACCP and food safety legislation
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
- Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
Essentials for working in Aged Care:
- A current Working With Children Check card
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
