We’re seeking a dedicated Food Services Assistant with kitchenhand experience to help deliver nutritious meals and warm hospitality that support the wellbeing of our residents. This permanent part-time roles are ideal for someone who values teamwork, quality service, and making a difference in the lives of older Australians.

The available shifts lines are as below;

Shift Line 1: Sunday to Thursday 07:00AM - 14:30PM
Shift Line 2: Sunday to Thursday 13:30PM - 9:30PM

In this role, you will:

• Work within a multidisciplinary team to maintain food preparation and service areas in line with cleaning schedules and food safety standards
• Serve meals in the dining room and via trolley service to residents’ rooms
• Assist with food preparation, dishwashing, sandwich making, and offering tea or coffee to residents and their guests
• Provide feedback on residents’ food preferences and escalate any concerns about their wellbeing
• Deliver friendly, professional service that fosters a welcoming and respectful environment
• Support your colleagues by sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement

About you:

• Have experience and expertise working in food service; preferably in a health, hotel or aged care setting
• Have availability to work above-mentioned roster
• Can work at a fast pace as part of a team
• Are experienced in customer service and provide excellent standard of service
• Have the initiative and ability to work without supervision
• Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
• Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

• A current Working With Children Check Employee card
• Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
• Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
