As our Loddon Mallee South Home Care program continues to grow, we’re looking for compassionate, reliable, and community-minded individuals to join our supportive team.
Based in the Castlemaine area, you’ll play a vital role in helping older people remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.
These roles offer meaningful work and the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of older people by delivering care with empathy, respect, and a strong person-centred approach.
We are currently recruiting for the following part-time roles:
Home Care Domestic Support
(No formal qualifications required)
In this role, you’ll travel between clients’ homes to provide practical, personalised support tailored to each person’s needs.
Duties may include:
General household tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and tidying
Preparing light meals and assisting with grocery shopping
Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, and shared areas
Providing social support or transport to appointments and community activities
Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting any concerns
Supporting clients in line with their personal preferences, cultural background, and values
Ensuring the home environment is clean, safe, and comfortable
Home Care Worker
(Relevant qualifications required)
This qualified role includes all of the above duties, plus:
Providing personal care such as showering, grooming, toileting, and mobility support

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting older people to live independently at home. You’ll have a caring, empathetic nature and a genuine commitment to building respectful relationships with clients and their families.
You will need:
Daytime availability across at least three weekdays per week
Excellent organisational skills and a focus on safe, clean environments
A strong understanding of person-centred and community-based care
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
A shared commitment to our values and the BEST philosophy – Believe, Excel, Support, Trust
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must have or be willing to obtain the following:
A valid Australian driver’s licence and unlimited access to a reliable, insured vehicle
Current First Aid and CPR certifications
Working with Children Check (Employee)
National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
Up-to-date vaccinations in accordance with Uniting AgeWell’s Vaccination Policy
