About the role:

The purpose of the Technical Business Analyst is to support the organisation in understanding, documenting, and optimising its application stack and associated IT environments. This role plays a critical part in bridging the gap between business needs and technical capabilities by analysing systems, infrastructure, and integrations.
 
The Technical Business Analyst will identify opportunities for improvement, ensure alignment between technology and business objectives, and contribute to the successful delivery of digital initiatives across Uniting AgeWell. 
 
Through detailed analysis and collaboration with stakeholders, this role enhances operational efficiency, system reliability, and strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse and document the current application stack, integrations, and associated IT environments
  • Work with technical teams to map infrastructure dependencies, data flows, and system interfaces
  • Evaluate and reconcile information from multiple sources to create accurate technical documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and analyse technical and business requirements
  • Document current and future state architecture, environment diagrams, data models, and system workflows
  • 12 month Fixed Term contract, based in Melbourne's CBD, with a hybrid working model

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven experience in technical business analysis within complex IT environments
     
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application stacks, integrations, and infrastructure
     
  • Experience with system architecture documentation and environment mapping
     
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting system architecture, environment mapping, and data flows
     
  • Proficiency in business analysis techniques and frameworks such as MoSCoW prioritisation, SWOT analysis, gap analysis, and stakeholder mapping
     
  • Skilled in requirements elicitation, functional and non-functional specification development, and traceability matrices
     
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
     
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

  • A current Working With Children Check card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
