About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our aged care team in Forest Hill. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health, wellbeing, and enjoyment of our residents. Working in a collaborative kitchen environment, you will plan, order, and prepare meals that enhance the resident dining experience while ensuring all individual dietary, cultural, and nutritional requirements are met.

A key focus of the role is delivering meals in line with specialised dietary needs, including supplements and texture-modified foods, while maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and service. You will also ensure a high level of compliance with all food safety regulations, HACCP procedures, and kitchen hygiene standards.

Roster:

  • Week 1 & Week 2: Wednesday to Saturday
  • Hours: 9:30am – 5:30pm

About you:

This is the place for you if you have:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Have experience in a Residential Aged Care kitchen environment (ordering, budgeting and rostering
  • Have worked with specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods
  • Fully conversant with HACCP and food safety legislation
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
  • Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Children Check card 
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
