About the role:
- Planning, ordering and preparing meals that enhance the resident dining experience, including specialised diets, supplements and texture modified foods.
- Ensuring a high level of compliance with all food safety, HACCP and infection control requirements.
- Monitoring food quality, presentation and portion control to deliver a consistently high standard of service.
- Managing stock levels and ordering to maintain kitchen efficiency and minimise waste.
- Working collaboratively with care and hospitality teams to support resident preferences and dietary needs
About you:
This is the place for you if you have:
- Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Have experience in a Residential Aged Care kitchen environment (ordering, budgeting and rostering
- Have worked with specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods
- Fully conversant with HACCP and food safety legislation
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
- Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
Essentials for working in Aged Care:
- A current Working With Children Check card
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
