About the role:

We're looking for friendly and reliable Casual Cleaners / Laundry Assistants to join our welcoming team at our Hawthorn and Camberwell facilities. Working 8:00am–4:00pm, you'll play an important role in helping create clean, comfortable, and inviting spaces while supporting our laundry operations as needed. We offer flexibility for candidates who would like to work across both sites or prefer one location, and we're seeking people who are available for a minimum of 3 weekdays per week. Tasks include: 

  • Ensure that all areas of the residence are kept hygienic and presentable
  • Contribute to a comfortable, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
  • Cleaning in line with all chemical and infection control requirements and accreditation standards
  • Ensuring resident privacy and dignity is always maintained
  • Identify and report maintenance issues for our residents, ensuring they are escalated in a timely manner

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, you also:

  • Demonstrate a high level of kindness and respect for residents’ property and privacy
  • Have previous experience cleaning in a large organisation or commercial environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices (preferred but not essential)
  • An understanding of infection control procedures
  • Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision as required and as part of a team
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
  • Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Children Check card 
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
