About the role:
Are you a motivated and experienced cleaning professional with strong leadership skills? We’re seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Uniting AgeWell Forest Hill, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents.
About the Role:
This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, and is ideal for someone with proven management or supervisory experience in a cleaning or facilities role. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cleaning team, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are consistently met throughout the facility.
- Ensure all areas of the residence are kept hygienic, clean, and presentable at all times
- Contribute to a comfortable, welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors
- Supervise and support the cleaning team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleaning protocols and aged care standards
- Clean in line with all chemical handling, infection control requirements, and accreditation standards
- Ensure resident privacy and dignity is always maintained during cleaning routines
- Identify and report maintenance issues promptly, ensuring they are escalated appropriately
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, audits, and staff performance
- Train new cleaning staff and provide ongoing guidance and support
- Liaise with management and other departments to coordinate cleaning needs for events or special requirements
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and place orders as needed
- Promote a culture of safety, respect, and accountability within the cleaning team
About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, you also:
- Demonstrate a high level of kindness and respect for residents’ property and privacy
- Have previous experience cleaning in a large organisation or commercial environment
- Have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices
- An understanding of infection control procedures
- Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision as required and as part of a team
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

- A current Working With Children Check card
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
