This is a mobile community-based role where you will travel between clients' homes, providing essential support that enables older people to continue living independently. Services may include personal care, domestic assistance, respite care and transportation.

Most client visits are approximately one hour and focus on a specific support service. You will spend your day supporting a range of clients across Melbourne's northern suburbs, providing personalised care and assistance that helps them remain independent at home. This community-based role involves travelling between client homes within your designated service area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective support to clients, recognise changes in clients’ conditions and escalate observations and concerns in accordance with Uniting AgeWell processes
  • Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients, their relatives and friends
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise
  • Must have your own car (registered in your own name), valid insurance and a current Victorian driver's licence

No qualification? No problem!

We are also seeking Domestic Support Workers to assist clients with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, light meal preparation and occasional unaccompanied shopping.
