About the role
Our Support at Home Program helps older people live safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible.
We are expanding our Home Care team and have opportunities available across Wodonga, Benalla, Wangaratta and surrounding communities.
As a Home Care Worker, you will travel between clients' homes providing personalised support that enables older people to maintain their independence, wellbeing and connection to their community.
These are part-time positions with guaranteed contracted hours of 20 hours per fortnight. Successful candidates must have daytime availability across at least three weekdays per week to meet client and rostering requirements.
Duties may include:
- Providing personal care support, where required
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry and household tidying
- Supporting clients to maintain their independence and quality of life
- Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting concerns appropriately
- Respecting and responding to each client's cultural, spiritual and individual needs
- Building positive relationships with clients and their families
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and the broader care team
About You
You are compassionate, reliable and genuinely motivated to support older people to live independently in their own homes. You enjoy working autonomously while also being part of a supportive team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, or an equivalent qualification (nursing students who have completed an aged care placement are welcome to apply)
- Experience in home care, aged care, disability support or domestic support services (desirable)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to delivering respectful, person-centred support

Essential Requirements
You must have, or be willing to obtain:
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- A Victorian Driver Licence
- Access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle for work-related travel
- A Victorian Working With Children Check (Employee)
- Current and ongoing flu vaccination
- Australian working rights
- A National Police Check
